SEPTEMBER 2007 NEWSLETTER

Can't believe another summer has come and gone already!  Football season is looming, baseball season is almost over and it's time for new openings on Broadway.  There's a hint of fall in the air, but still pretty much the smells of summer, which in Manhattan can be pretty pungent!  We're just back from a wonderful trip to the San Francisco area.  We stayed in Bolinas which is a wonderful tiny town situated between the Pacific and a lagoon.   Fabulous views in ever direction.  And even a rookery of harbor seals to greet you in the morning.  San Francisco was a little more Disney-fied than I'd expected.  But then I suppose we were in tourist central by going to Pier 39, Chinatown and Fisherman's Warf.   Just not what I expected.  But the bay area is lovely, and we enjoyed our tour of Alcatraz and singing like idiots on the back of a cablecar.  What can I say we had a good time.   Favorite though was the Muir Forest.  A fabulous enclave of Redwood Trees.  Silent and beautiful and wonderful scent.  We had a lovely walk and I could easily have done it again.   Spent one day in Sanoma tasting wine.  Bought more than we should and had a great time.  Met some family and new friends in Petaluma.  Great city.  Had amazing Italian and one of those magical evenings with perfect conversation.  Definitely a highlight of the trip.  Main advice to those traveling to the region -- bring a camera and a coat!

The big news is that DreamForge just redesigned my website.   If you haven't checked it out please do!  http://www.deedavis.com/  They did a fantastic job and there are all kinds of new things to read about.  Including deleted scenes from some of my older books.  There's also a new FAQ about me.  And of the latest information about all my books.  Give it a look and let me know what you think!

Just finished the latest revision on Set-Up in SoHo.  Due out early next year, I'm really excited about the book and the continued adventures of the matchmaking crowd.

This has been a big year for me with three books out -- all of them still on the shelves!   So if you haven't already pick up your copies of Chain Reaction, A Match Made on Madison, and Hell on Heels, check them out!

In October I'll be at the New Jersey Romance Writer's Conference.  And of course I'll be at the book signing on Saturday the 6th.  Hope to see you there.

In contest news, we have two winners!  The first lucky lady won an autographed copy of A Match Made on Madison.  The second winner will receive an autographed copy of Hell on Heels.

Been writing like a fiend of late so not as much reading as I'd like but did just finish Emily Giffin's latest Baby Proof and enjoyed it every bit as much as I did her first two books.  Also finally,(I know I'm perpetually behind) read One for the Money.  Really enjoyed it.  Can totally see why everyone has been so excited about Stephanie Plum.

As always, write and let me know what you think of my books, upcoming releases, or just writing in general. I love hearing from you!!!! You can reach me at Or by snail mail at P.O. Box 7231, NY, NY 10150
