On a Personal Note

Like the rest of the country it's been really hot here in the city.  I lost both of my potted roses.  Sniff.  But not before having an absolutely gorgeous display for the spring.  Now we're working on keeping the tomato and pepper alive.  Between the heat and the aphids (pepper) it's been an uphill battle.  Biggest news on my home front is that I've become totally Mac.  Already loved my iPhone and my iPad so it wasn't that big a leap to trade in the PC for an iMac.  Very cool machine. Although I'm still getting used to the keyboard and a few other changes.  But overall am liking iMe.

Saw Sister Act with Raven Symone, one of my daughter's favorites when she was little (the actress).  And also Linda Lavin in The Lyons.  And this year's Tony winner Clybourne Park.   Also had the chance to speak at my alma mater (Hendrix College) in May and had a super time visiting not only Conway but also Hot Springs.

Hoping to score tickets to see Into the Woods at the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park.  But since it's wait in line, first come first served, it could be an uphill battle.  Have never seen the musical though, so determined to give it my best effort.

Writing News

On the writing front, Deadly Dance, the fifth book in my A-Tac series is still available.

But I'm even more excited to announce that my Last Chance Series has been re-issued in digital format and is available at Barnes and Noble and Amazon now!!!

Three friends bound by unspeakable horror.  Three men who will stop at nothing to save the women they love.  Three novels that will leave you breathless.  Endgame, Enigma and Exposure.

"Psychological suspense...expertly combined with action and romance." --Romantic Times

The sixth A-Tac book, Double Danger, is currently in production and will hit bookstores on December 18th.  Here's a first look at the cover!  (I think Simon is looking pretty darn good!)  For a blurb check out my website!

And I'm happy to announce that Avery's book, Dire Distraction will be coming in April of 2013.  We'll see where the muse takes me, but I do think the man deserves his day!

What I'm Watching/Reading

Had a lovely break with a chance to do some reading.  First up was the wonderful new Barbara O'Neal Garden of Happy Endings.   And then another favorite author, Susannah Kearsley's The Rose Garden.  In addition, I finally read Hush by Cherry Adair.  And I also read the Paris Wife about Earnest and Hadley Hemingway.   Currently, I'm reading Mindy Kaling's Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?   Went to see Brave.  And totally adored it.  The reviewers are so off their mark on this one.  It rocks.  And also watching the new Aaron Sorkin drama on HBO, Newsroom.  As well as Falling Skies (Noah Wylie) and Rookie Blue.
