On a Personal Note
So you guys haven’t heard from me here in a while. But if you follow me on Facebook, you probably heard that in January I fell on the ice and cracked open my head and screwed up my ankle. Which has meant a lot of down time. I’m still trying to fully recover. That said, life goes one, and one of my greatest joys at the moment, is my garden. I’m including a picture for your enjoyment.
And of course the puppy! Who is now just over a year old. He is a constant delight, even though he has developed a taste for socks. Old or new. In or out of reach. The little dude will find them and devour!
On the Writing Front
I’m delighted to announce that my Liar’s Game Series has been released in digital format.
Everyone is a liar. Sometimes for a greater good. But when the game turns deadly, reasons don’t matter at all…
The past never stays buried for long, and when ex-CIA operative Simone Sheridan’s world flips on end, the charade she’s been living begins to crumble; and as reality closes in, Simone must fight to protect her family from a vicious assassin intent on destroying the people she loves.
Artist Mia Kearney has the perfect life: A successful career, a home she loves, amazing friends…until her world explodes one hot August morning. Lone survivor of a nuclear accident, Mia awakens in a government facility, faced with Homeland Security agent Nicholas Price, a man who wants answers she knows she doesn’t have.
STILL OF THE NIGHT
Now with a new epilogue!
Snow is falling, but this is no ordinary white Christmas. There is no festive cheer, no carolers, no mistletoe. Instead Jenny Fitzgerald is running for her life. She’s frightened and alone. Every step taking her farther from safety. And on a cold, silent night, when friends turn into enemies, she has nowhere left to turn…
And I’m also pleased to announce that the Devil May Care Series with Julie Kenner has been digitally released.
They were the baddest of the bad, the illegitimate sons and daughters of Satan, who had managed to make love, raise hell, and milk life in a manner worthy of their heritage. Until the day the devil himself needs to name his heir apparent. So who will the next ruler of Sin City be?
And coming next year look for a new Scottish time travel, Cottage in the Mist. As well as a prequel for my Liar’s Game Series, Line of Fire (Matt and Kiera’s story).
This has been the year of conferences (on crutches and cane) for me. Started out with a wonderful Red Door retreat. Fabulous friends and fabulous authors. Next up was RT in New Orleans. And it was a delicious event in every true sense of the word! After that, the Lori Foster Readers event in Cincinnati. I met so many wonderful readers. Team 3 rocked it big time with trivia! From there it was on to RWA in San Antonio. Great to meet up with new friends and old. And my BFF Julie Kenner won a RITA! Talk about a perfect night.
Coming up, I’ll be attending the Writer’s Police Academy – although the cane will keep me from some of the more vigorous activities. And look for me at the New Jersey Conference where I’ll be inducted into their Hall of Fame. And then I’m off to NINC in Florida for a little R&R and of course the best of the best when it comes to learning the industry.
What I'm Watching/Reading
Being stuck in bed for the first third of the year meant a lot of reading and TV time. I enjoyed the usual suspects, including Call the Midwife, Downton Abbey, and Game of Thrones. But additionally, have glommed Selfridge, Orphan Black, the Americans and most recently Orange is the New Black. I’m also reading all of Nora Robert’s trilogies (and a couple of quartets!). So far my fav is usually the one I’m currently reading. But will say I can’t wait for the last of the O’Dwyer books this Oct. Also loved the Chesapeake series. As well as Three Sister’s Island. The Boonsboro Inn Trilogy, The Key series. And well…basically all of them have been wonderful. Up next the Bride Quartet.
As always, write and let me know what you think of my books, upcoming releases, or just writing in general. I love hearing from you!!!! You can reach me at email@example.com And if you're interested you can follow me at both Twitter and Facebook. Feel free to send this newsletter to your friends.
Here's to Happy Reading.
