APRIL 2011 NEWSLETTER

On a Personal Note

Life is good here.  College Quest is almost completed.  A couple more visits and we'll have a decision.  Our daughter has fabulous options to choose from.  And she's excited.  I can't wait for the new adventure to begin.   Spring came for like one second here in the city and has disappeared again, but my roses are budding out (on the terrace) and so that's a positive sign I'm certain.  The new Broadway season is in high gear.  We've seen Catch Me If You Can and  Wonderland so far.  Both good. The former a fabulous rendition of the movie with Norbert Leo Butz in the Tom Hanks role.  And the latter was not quite as good, but the first act rocked and the music and costumes were amazing.  We saw it in previews so I have high hopes that the second act will be tweaked to make Wonderland a truly stellar show.  Next week Arcadia.  But first we're off to our first Yankee's game of the season.  YAY.  The true sign of spring--right?

Our trip to Japan was amazing.  Fortunately we were there ahead of the horrible earthquake and tsunami.  We made it home with two weeks to spare.  But my heart goes out to the people of Japan.  Their country is so gorgeous and the people are so lovely, my heart breaks for all that they're going through.  Please think about giving generously to help them in their recovery. The Red Cross is a great place to make a donation.   We spent most of our time in and around Tokyo and it was truly a trip we'll remember always.

Writing News

I've recently finished an all new A-TAC novella coming out this JULY!  Daring, is Lara's story.  An e-format only novella, the book is set in Africa and the hero is, if I do say so myself...HOT HOT HOT.   Tucker's story, Deep Disclosure is coming to bookstores in September.  I'm happy to share the new cover here!

Check out my website for blurbs, excerpts, reviews and links for pre-ordering both books.

Hard at work on Deadly Dance which is coming out in July 2012.  Double Danger, the sixth book in the A-Tac Series is currently scheduled for January 2013.  So lots of A-Tac coming down the pipeline!  Watch here for more info.

In contest news, we have a winner!  And she will receive an autographed copy the book of her choice from the Last Chance Series.  Harrison Blake first appeared in these books and of course now has found a new home with A-Tac.

What I'm Watching/Reading

Typical of my life, with deadline looming, conferences and promo for my books, I haven't gotten a lot of reading done.   But I did get a Nook Color for Christmas and have totally loved being about to read books with a font size my old eyes can handle.  The back-lighting was awesome on the plane ride to Japan.  I had the chance to catch up with one of my favorite author's series: Christina Skye's Draycott Abby.  And also the latest from the always great Nora Roberts.  And a new to me author of historical novels, Laurel McKee, Countess of Scandal.  I'll admit I've also been entranced with this year's American Idol.   Not a book, but definitely with Steven Tyler a lot of fun!   And I'm hooked on both Hawaii 5-0 and Harry's Law.  Kathy Bates rocks!
