June 2017

On a Personal Note:

Well, the winter simply flew by.  And I spent most of it traveling.  Which is not a complaint, but it certainly warps your sense of time!  Now I’m gearing up for summertime.  Which means getting the garden in shape!  I have a wonderful new gardener helping me.  She knows her stuff and I have a feeling she will have both me and the gardens whipped into shape in no time!

On the Writing Front:

I’m happy to announce that Fade to Gray (the first book in my new romantic suspense series) is now available for pre-order!

When Emily Masterson wakes up in a strange bed with a dead man, she does the only thing she can think to do.  She calls the one man who can help her.  A man who betrayed her years ago—the only man she’s ever loved.

Gideon Sloan might be in the business of helping people, he just never thought one of them would be Emily.  After using all his resources to help her, he swears never to see her again, but a second attempt on her life leaves him racing against a clock to keep her alive.

Even as the killer circles closer, passion reignites, but secrets from the past threaten to destroy their fragile truce.  Only together can they find answers and—if they survive—a second chance at love.

Fade to Gray will be available through all vendors on 7/17/17!

As I mentioned, I spent much of the winter/early spring traveling.  Had a delightful time at Coastal Magic in Florida.  And then on to a Leadership Training Seminar in San Diego.  I also attended a fabulous writer’s retreat in Tennessee.  And the RWA board meeting in New Orleans.  It was then off to Milwaukee and Barbara Vey. What a lovely group of people and fabulous event!!!  And finally, I flew in to Atlanta to accept a RT Reviewer’s Choice Award for Cottage in the Mist.  Best indie historical of 2017!  I was so honored!!!

Settling in now to write Winter’s Kiss, a Time After Time novella, featuring Ranald and Ailis!  The novella will be out this fall!

What I'm Watching/Reading:

With network television finishing up for the year, I’ve had fun watching movies and independent series.  Loved every minute of the past season of Call The Midwife.  Am currently watching Larkrise to Candleford.  And am looking forward to both Orphan Black and Game of Thrones.  Just read Lorraine Heath’s newest release.  And have loved discovering Darcy Burke’s historical romances!!
